Recently, staff members of The Scranton Plan, Skills in Scranton and SLIBCO attended NEPIRC’s Manufacturing Day event, held at Mohegan Sun in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. The event welcomed more than 100 exhibitors and over 600 attendees to discuss and celebrate the manufacturing industry.
Emily Pettinato, Workforce Development Specialist, believes this is a great opportunity for businesses in the industry to connect, learn and solve. “Manufacturing Day is a dynamic event that provides a platform for manufacturing businesses to showcase their companies, learn how manufacturing is a driver of economic growth in the area and the diverse career opportunities in the industry. Through employer booths and insightful speaker presentations, the event showcased the vibrant pulse of manufacturing in our area and emphasized the incredible potential it holds for our workforce.”
Emily, along with AJ Cimahosky, Economic Development Specialist, and Lisa Olenick, Business Development Assistant attended the one day conference promoting business opportunities and the workforce of Lackawanna County.
